  • Supportive Head Teacher and SENCO
  • Long-term role until July 2022

1:1 Learning Support Assistant (SEN) – The Role

  • Vibrant and cohesive primary school
  • Paid £375 – £450 per week (term time only)
  • Supporting child with ASD on a 1:1 basis
  • Help the child to learn and focus in class
  • Promote positive mental health and wellbeing
  • Know when to use strategies to support learning and behaviour
  • Act as a strong role model
  • Anticipate when to engage in outdoor learning

1:1 Learning Support Assistant (SEN)Person Specification

  • 2:1 or above (Psychology degree preferred)
  • Good A Levels
  • Good understanding of strategies that support ASD children
  • Willingness to adapt to the needs of child on a regular basis
  • Experience working with SEN children
  • Perfect for an aspiring Educational Psychologist or SEN Teacher
  • Ability to use own initiative and build up relationships with students and staff
  • Confident and assertive personality
