Perhaps you are pursuing a career in Speech and Language, Child Therapy, or Education Psychology?
This private mainstream School in London (W9) are seeking a 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant high in both energy and empathy, to work in a focused and designated manner with a particular Y4 student with high-functioning Autism and a language disorder, to join their celebrated provision from September, on a temp-to-perm basis.
1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant – Benefits:
- £480 – £550 per week, during term time
- Full-time, long-term role within a single provision (the contract to become permanent with the School)
- Ideal for an aspiring Education Psychologist, SEN Teacher, Child Therapist, or Speech and Language practitioner

1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant – The Role:
- Mainstream Private School located in London (W9)
- A multifaceted role encompassing a wide range of responsibilities, from assisting with academic assignments to providing emotional support and fostering social interaction
- To work closely with a child diagnosed with ASD, a language disorder, ADHD, and minor behavioural issues
- Tailored differentiation and emotional regulation skills essential to the role
- To encourage fun visual learning
- To help bridge the present disparity in speech development between the child and his peers
- Coveted 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant role
1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant – Pre-Requisites:
- High-calibre Degree from an elite British University (ideally Psychology-related)
- Empathetic disposition and collaborative attitude
- Experience with SEND/SEMH children, ideally ASD or ADHD
- Passion in education and in the emotional progression of young people in crucial stages of development
- Primary-specific experience desirable
- Advanced working knowledge of EHCPs
