1:1 Teaching Assistant – Leicester

Are you a recent Psychology or Education Studies graduate with a passion for education, and a desire to gain vital first-hand Primary based teaching experience in Leicester?

Maybe you’re a recent graduate with a desire to progress into a PGCE programme, but want to gain first-hand experience as a 1:1 Teaching Assistant before doing so?

Do you want the opportunity to work alongside experienced professionals providing excellent academic & social support to a KS1 child as a 1:1 Teaching Assistant?

A superb primary school based just outside of Leicester city centre is keen to find a 1:1 Teaching Assistant with a passion for supporting children inside and out of the classroom, providing key support sessions based around a carefully structured Education Health Care Plan. You will be working inside of a KS1 department, supporting a child with SEMH needs inside and out of the classroom.

You will be paid £84 per day during term time only in a Monday to Friday to position beginning immediately and ending in July 2023. You will also have access to our partnership with the online CPD College with a free subject enhancement knowledge course on topics such as Mental Health Awareness and children’s safeguarding.

1:1 Teaching Assistant – Applicant Requirements:

• Minimum 2:1 Psychology or Education Studies UK based degree
• Strong academic background
• Prior experience working with young people
• Naturally outgoing and supportive personality
• Brilliant organisation and communication skills
• Eager to pursue a career working with children
