Are you a recent Maths graduate with a 2:1 or above? If so, are you interested in working for a diverse secondary school in the heart of Bolton?

Perhaps you have prior experience tutoring or peer mentoring and want to put these skills to good use?

As an Academic Mathematics Mentor, you will deliver 1:1 and small group maths intervention sessions to students all of abilities. You will be part of a thriving and cohesive team of mentors/tutors, working together to organise the tuition subject which has become an integral part of the school’s curriculum for high achievers and students that require additional support with core subjects.

Role Description - Academic Mathematics Mentor

• Academic Mathematics Mentor
• Shortlisting for role now, September 2024 start date
• Long-term role, until July 2025
• Full-time position, Monday – Friday
• £80 - £95 per day (term-time only)
• Run 1:1 and small group tuition sessions
• Liaise with class teacher and report on student progress
• Promote a love for Maths

Experience and Qualifications - Academic Mathematics Mentor

• Academic Mathematics Mentor
• Minimum 2:1 grade in Maths or other relevant subject
• Good A Levels
• Prior experience tutoring or peer mentoring would be advantageous
• Aspirations to work in education
• Confident about dealing with challenging behaviour
