As an Academic Mathematics Mentor, you will deliver 1:1 and small group maths intervention sessions to students all of abilities. You will be part of a thriving and cohesive team of mentors/tutors, working together to organise the tuition subject which has become an integral part of the school’s curriculum for high achievers and students that require additional support with core subjects.

Role Description – Academic Mathematics Mentor

• Academic Mathematics Mentor
• Shortlisting for role now, September 2022 start date
• Long-term role, until July 2023
• Full-time position, Monday – Friday
• £90 – £92 per day (term-time only)
• Run 1:1 and small group tuition sessions
• Liaise with class teacher and report on student progress
• Act as a strong role model
• Promote a love for Maths
• Work with other core subject tutors

Experience and Qualifications – Academic Mathematics Mentor

• Academic Mathematics Mentor
• Minimum 2:1 grade in Maths or other relevant subject
• Good A Levels
• Prior experience tutoring or peer mentoring would be advantageous
• Aspirations to work in education
• Confident about dealing with challenging behaviour
• Excellent organisation skills
• Ability to work as part of a team
