i-teachers are working with a warm and welcoming primary academy based in the Gateshead area who are eager to find a brilliant Autism Support Mentor for the remainder of the academic year in a full-time role to provide dedicated 1:1 support to a child within their KS2 department with complex learning disabilities.

Autism Support Mentor – Role Information:
- Autism Support Mentor
- Located in Gateshead (NE2)
- Paid £450 per week during term time only
- Full time role – Based in primary academy
- Remainder of academic year – Usual school working hours
- Providing individual support to child with SEN in KS2 department
- Supporting the academic, social & emotional progression of pupil
- Tailoring support sessions inside and out of class around EHCP

Autism Support Mentor – Applicant Requirements:
- Minimum 2:2 UK based university degree
- Strong academic background
- Prior experience working with children
- Good organisation and communication skills
- Genuine interest in gaining first-hand SEN school based experience
- Passionate about a career supporting children or adolescents
