Job Description

Behaviour Mentor – Graduate Role

  • Working with a variety of students with complex needs e.g. Downs Syndrome, Autistic Spectrum Disorder, Speech, Language and Communication difficulties, ADHD, and Physical disabilities.
  • Help students to become as independent as possible and to reach their full potential
  • Follow the curriculum and support pupils with their individual needs
  • Support the teacher with alternative education preparation and delivery of lessons
  • Support students with transitioning from different activities e.g changing classroom, school trips, and arrival/home time.
  • Long-term role, no daily supply
  • £375-450 per week (term-time only)

Person Specification

Behaviour Mentor – Graduate Role

  • Must be a graduate
  • Be able to deal with challenging behaviour
  • 2:1 or above (Psychology degree would be advantageous)
  • Experience working with SEN/SEMH students or in another relevant setting e.g. Health and Social care
  • Aspirations to become a Teacher/Educational psychologist
  • Patient, engaging, and attentive personality
