Dance Teacher Specification – what are the school looking for?

This school looking for an enthusiastic and confident Dance Teacher who has been recognised as a ‘Good’ or ‘Outstanding’ teacher in recent observations and has the ability to engage students through your creative teaching style. The school wants to meet Dance teachers who can plan and deliver creative, exciting lessons that get core ideas across to the pupils in novel, interesting ways.

About the Dance Role – what does the role involve?

You will be joining the school’s supportive Performing Arts Department as a Dance Teacher where you will have access to the schools outstanding CPD training scheme that will help you to grow with in your career as a teacher. You will be working alongside a passionate Head of Department where you can expect to receive all the support you could need, with regular meetings and constructive evaluation of your techniques and lessons plans.

Part of your role will include contributing to an ethos of academic success and constant improvement by joining a department who value this above all else. Your timetable will include classes in KS3 and KS4, with the ability to also teach Drama highly desirable.
