English Academic Coach – Wolverhampton – Person specification –
The school are seeking a dynamic graduate with a genuine passion for English and an aspiration to teach. You must have gained a 2:1 in English degree and demonstrate a compassionate nature to adapt to the needs of individual pupils. You must have some experience working with children, ideally in a school setting. Furthermore, you must be a confident individual who can communicate efficiently with a wide range of pupils, all with varied learning abilities.
English Academic Coach – Wolverhampton – About the role –
The role will involve assisting the English teachers in day-to day duties such as lesson planning and group tasks. Once your confidence grows you will have the opportunity to enhance your own development with the support of the department. This may include planning and conducting your own English lessons and marking work, all whilst being offered training. The role further requires you to manage small groups of students and provide 1:1 support with certain aspects of the curriculum that students may be struggling with. This role requires you to be able to conduct focused interventions in small groups in order to provide 1:1 support to students who are struggling with certain aspects of English.
