Are you an incoming 2024 English or Creative Writing university graduate with a desire to find a tutoring position inside of a school supporting KS3 & KS4 students in the English subject?

i-teachers are currently working with a superb SEMH provision school located in the Moseley area who are eager to find a dedicated, outgoing and naturally engaging English Academic Mentor to provide excellent 1:1 & small group support sessions for their KS3 & KS4 students in a full-time position for the coming academic year.

In this role as an English Academic Mentor, the successful candidate will be providing 1:1 & small group tuition to students across KS3 & KS4. The sessions will be tailored around the students academic weak points and be centred around a broad and balanced curriculum.

English Academic Mentor – Role Information:

• English Academic Mentor
• Located in Birmingham (B11)
• Paid £450 per week during term time
• Monday to Friday position based in one SEMH school
• Working hours: 08.30am – 15.30pm
• FREE online CPD courses – SEN, Mental Health & Safeguarding
• Planning and conducting 1:1 & small group English GCSE tuition
• Creating engaging support sessions tailored around students needs

English Academic Mentor – Applicant Requirements:

• Minimum 2:1 English or Creative Writing degree
• Strong academic background
• Prior experience tutoring, teaching or mentoring
• Good organisation and communication skills
• Passionate about the opportunity to tutor English students
• Ability to build rapport with young people
