Geography Graduate Teaching Assistant – Personal specification:

  • Degree in Geography related subject – 2:1 or above
  • Strong A levels & GCSEs (including geography)
  • Enthusiasm and passion for education & young people
  • Genuine interest in teaching as a career
  • Ready for a challenge!
  • Some previous experience of working/volunteering with young people is desirable but not essential

You will be working as a Geography Graduate Teaching Assistant within a high school, depending on the needs of each year group. The successful Geography graduate could be working with higher ability students giving them the challenge and push they need, or perhaps working with those that need an extra bit of positivity and encouragement to feel more confident to give things ago and develop personally. These sessions may be organised by yourself or the class teacher, and could be on a 1:1 or group basis.

*You will need to have a minimum of a 2:1 in your subject and demonstrate your passion for education.*
