This is a highly important role for this school and will see you providing academic support throughout the Science Department both inside and outside of the classroom. You will be supporting and motivating students with their GCSE and A-Level preparation, assisting inside the classroom with 1:1 support and planning and leading small group interventions to focus on exam preparation and general confidence in this vital subject. Once you become more confident you will be able to take on elements of cover to develop you own flair as a teacher and help you to decide whether this is the right opportunity for you.
You will need to have strong communication and organisation skills, in order to liaise and work collaboratively with both subject specific teachers and within cross-curricular activities.

In order to apply for this role, you will have a strong academic background that includes a minimum of a 2:1 degree in any Science, and strong A Levels, as well as some transferable experience with children or young people.
