Graduate lab technician – the role:

  • Permanent contract
  • Start: as soon as possible
  • Responsible for liaising closely with the lecturers to prepare practical’s
  • Ensuring the prep rom is well stocked
  • Preparation, maintenance and storage of apparatus, used for both demonstrations and practical work
  • Assist with and report repairs and faults as appropriate
  • Monitor and order stock
  • Check and safely store apparatus

 

 

Candidate Specification – what the college are looking for:

  • 2:1 or 1st class degree, in a Science related course
  • Excellent organisation and communication skills
  • Relevant experience is preferred
  • Strong academic background
  • Possess good IT and administrative skills
