For this role you must be a graduate with a minimum of a 2:1 class degree, with strong A Levels. You must be an enthusiastic individual who has empathy and resilience. Good communication skills are of the upmost importance and you must have a genuine passion to support struggling pupils from a variety of socio-economic backgrounds. You will have a personal interest in extra-curricular activities, perhaps being involved in a sports team or running a society at University.
This learning mentor position involves working across all subject departments, specifically Maths/English/Science where pupils need that extra push outside of the classroom. Fresh ideas and knowledge will be essential to assisting teachers with planning and preparation. The successful candidate will work with students who have behavioural, social, emotional, and attendance issues. The main focus of this role will focus on working with pupils and their families to remove barriers to learning and to raise levels of achievement.
