To be considered for this role you must be a graduate with a passion for Special Needs and will be supportive and caring with a “firm but fair” approach. We want to see graduates with the ambition to become Educational Psychologists or Child Psychologists keen to build relevant experience in a paid role providing support on a 1:1 basis with a child who has behavioural and attention difficulties.

Responsibilities

  • Support for the students
  • Promote the inclusion and acceptance of all students.
  • Establish constructive relationships with students and interact with them according to individual needs.
  • Set challenging and demanding expectations and promote self-esteem and independence.
  • Assist with the development and implementation of Individual Education/Behaviour Support Plans, and/or Communication, Sensory and other programmes.
  • Encourage students to interact with others and engage in activities led by the teacher.
  • Provide feedback to pupils in relation to progress and achievement under the guidance of the teacher

The school is well run by a friendly Head and has excellent supportive staff. The school has fantastic state-of-the-art facilities with a dedicated inclusion department. The school has above average SEN needs which is why they are looking for bright graduates to support students.
