Graduate Learning Support Assistant – Oldham

Are you a dedicated, passionate and resilient graduate who is looking for a support role in a secondary school prior to teacher training?

Do you have a degree in Psychology or a core subject, or perhaps have experience of working with children who may face barriers to learning?

This fantastic secondary school in Oldham is keen to add a talented graduate to their team to support pupils who may have SEN/EBD with academic progress.

Person Specification – Learning Support Assistant

You will be a recent graduate with a 2:1 or above degree who is interested in a career in education. This role requires a patient person who can build relationships with pupils and overcome barriers to learning. You will have an excellent academic background and ideally some previous experience of working with children/young people. Tutoring experience is desirable.

About the role – Learning Support Assistant  

You will be working with targeted pupils to ensure they are making progress. Your role is vital as you will be liaising with parents, teachers and the SENCo in order to ensure the pupils you work with have the best possible outcomes. Students at this school come from a variety of socio-economic backgrounds. The new visionary Headteacher is passionate about ensuring each student receives the best possible start in life and a first class education.
