Graduate Primary Teaching Assistant – SEND Specialism

Job Description

  • Working with a variety of students with complex needs e.g Downs Syndrome, Autistic Spectrum Disorder, Speech, Language and Communication difficulties, ADHD and Physical disabilities.
  • Excellent SEND team that use a multi-disciplinary approach to support children
  • Opportunity to work with a team of Dyslexia and Specific Learning Difficulty specialist teachers
  • Supportive staff with expert knowledge on SEN education
  • Opportunity to train directly with the school and to be placed on a permanent contract
  • Immediate starts!
  • Long-term role, no daily supply
  • £375-450 per week (term-time only)

Graduate Primary Teaching Assistant – SEND Specialism

Person Specification

  • 2:1 or above (Psychology degree would be advantageous)
  • Genuine interest to pursue a career in SEN education
  • Must have a passion for subject area and education
  • Previous experience supporting children/adults in education or other relevant settings such as Health and Social care, creative support or other.
  • Aspirations to become a Teacher/Educational psychologist
  • Patient, engaging, and attentive personality
