Graduate Secondary Teaching Assistant – SEND

The Role and Benefits:

  • Long-term, paid position (term time only) £375-£450 per week
  • Encourage SEND students to work to the best of their ability and offer support where necessary
  • Support the class teacher to enable SEN students to positively engage in the classroom with other pupils/teachers
  • Support the whole class and plan/deliver small group sessions outside of the classroom

Personal Specification

  • 2:1 or above (all subjects welcome)
  • Excellent academic background
  • Good A-Levels
  • Strong literacy and numeracy skills are essential
  • Ability to use own initiative as well as support class teacher with classroom duties
  • Some experience supporting SEN students would advantageous
  • Experience supporting in schools
  • Friendly and engaging personality
  • Commitment to improving your own practice through monitoring personal progress
