Job Description – Graduate SEN Teaching Assistant (ages 3-19)

  • Working with a variety of children and students with PMLD
  • Supporting with use of alternative learning activities e.g use of sensory room, purpose-built playgrounds
  • Supporting the teacher with alternative education preparation and delivery of lessons – you may also be required to closely record student progress via online platforms throughout the day
  • Supporting students with transitioning from different activities e.g changing classroom, school trips, and arrival/home time.
  • Long-term role, no daily supply
  • £375-450 per week (term-time only)

Person Specification – Graduate SEN Teaching Assistant (ages 3-19)

  • Must be a Graduate
  • 2:1 or above (Psychology degree would be advantageous)
  • Experience working with SEN/SEMH children or in another relevant setting e.g Health and Social care
  • Perfect for a Graduate with aspirations to become a Teacher/Educational psychologist
  • Patient, engaging, and attentive personality
