A brilliant secondary school based in Newcastle Upon Tyne is eager to find an ambitious, teaching orientated and inspiring recent graduate to join their school as a Graduate Support Coach in a full-time Monday to Friday role for the coming academic year.

In this role as a Graduate Support Coach, you will be required to provide excellent academic, social emotional and mental health support to KS3 & KS4 students who may be struggling with their academic progression in preparation for their GCSEs.

You will have the opportunity to plan and deliver sessions inside and out of the classroom to groups no bigger than 5 students, whilst focusing on topics being studied in the schools balanced curriculum based within your specialist subject.

Graduate Support Coach – Role Information:

  • Full time – Monday to Friday role
  • Located in Newcastle Upon Tyne (NE23)
  • Paid £415 – £430 per week during term time only
  • Free access to online CPD college course based in education
  • Planning and conducting 1:1 & small group support sessions
  • Analysing and supporting students with topics they struggle with
  • Keeping track of students progress throughout the academic year

Graduate Support Coach – Applicant Requirements:

  • Incoming 2023 Core Subject, Humanities or MFL based graduate
  • Strong academic background
  • Prior experience teaching, tutoring, mentoring or volunteering
  • Naturally supportive and engaging personality
  • Passionate about providing all-round support to young people
  • Ability to develop instant rapport with students
  • Good organisation & communication skills
