As an Higher Level Teaching Assistant, you will utilise your existing skills to support the class teacher and the class. You will have the opportunity to cover the class when needed, ensuring a safe and positive learning environment is created.
i-teachers are different from almost all other agencies as we do not cater for day-to-day supply. We only look to place you in a long term contract or permanent position, with suitable schools based on your own goals and preferences.
Higher Level Teaching Assistant – The Role
- Higher Level Teaching Assistant – SEN Department
- Start ASAP
- Provide 1-1 support to students and group support within lessons
- Liaise with the SENCo
- Support the class teacher and provide occasional cover when necessary
- Plan your own activities to integrate into the lesson
Higher Level Teaching Assistant – The School
- Primary school: Nursery – Year 6
- Children have severe and complex learning difficulties
- Personalised learning environment to encourage independence and build confidence
- Ofsted rated as ‘Outstanding’ school
- Close transport links
- Inner London school
Higher Level Teaching Assistant – Person Specification
- 2:1 Degree or above
- Strong academic background e.g. A-Levels
- Passion for supporting children with complex needs
- Demonstrable experience working with children with complex needs
- Personable and professional manner
- Experience working with children – desirable
