Humanities Graduate Teaching Assistant – role
- Humanities Graduate Teaching Assistant
- Support the humanities departments & teachers
- Cover Geography, History or RE
- Work alongside students from KS3 and KS4
- Offer group and 1:1 intervention sessions to students
- Focus on your Humanities subject specialism
- Support other students who have challenging behaviour

Person specification – Humanities Graduate Teaching Assistant
- 2:1 degree or above in a Humanities subject from a top UK university
- Strong academic background e.g. A Levels
- Passion for humanities
- Considering teacher training
- Prior tutoring / education experience desirable
This role is ideally suited for a graduate who is high achieving and ambitious, looking to gain paid experience in a support role within education prior to moving in to either teaching training or educational psychology.
Depending on your exact role, you will provide support in lessons, interventions or in your own classes, identifying causes and triggers of students’ barriers to learning and working on strategies to support individual and whole school progress.
