We are currently working with a ‘good’ rate 11-18 school in Barnet, who are looking for a Supply Humanities Teacher to join them ASAP. This is to cover a long-term absence. They are particularly keen to hear from History specialists, but welcome strong applications from any relevant subject area.

• Assess learning objectives have been achieved
• Ability to evaluate pupil performance in line with the National Curriculum standards
• Be responsible for an aspect of the curriculum
• Provide regular written and verbal feedback
• Maintain a creative learning environment for all pupils
• Establish a strong working relationship with colleagues
• Identify pupils who may have particular learning needs and put appropriate plans in place
• Set clear learning targets
• Responsibility to monitor safeguarding

Supply Humanities Teacher – person specification

• UK Qualified teacher status
• Relevant undergraduate degree
• Experience of working in a UK secondary school post QTS is desirable
• Strong curriculum knowledge
• Passion for subject area
• Ability to manage your own workload
• Desire to work on CPD
