The principal at this popular and large school is keen to meet with Psychology graduates who have experience supporting children with specific learning needs.
There are two roles within the school, one being within Early Years in their SEN Unit. In this role you will be supporting the class teacher along with 2 other support staff members. The SEN Unit is a section of the nursery department for children with complex learning needs.
The other role is within the schools KS2 department, they require a motivated and engaging graduate who has experience of supporting ASD. In this role you will work closely with a child that requires 1:1 support. You will ensure that the child is making progress and is integrating with their school friends. The pupil gets anxious and nervous and sometimes frustrated. The pupil struggles to communicate their emotions, but their behaviour is good.
– Roles within EYFS & KS2
– Must hold a Psychology related degree
– Must have some SEN experience – ASD/SEMH/Down Syndrome/Cerebral Palsy is desirable
– Must be reliable and dedicated
– Be available for work ASAP
– Have a real passion for supporting pupils with additional needs
– Have the ability to manage challenging behaviours and circumstances
