A wonderful primary school based in Leicester (LE5) is looking to find a warm, supportive and outgoing SEN Teaching Assistant to join their KS1 department in a Monday to Friday role for the current academic year. In this role as an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will be planning and conducting vital 1:1 support sessions and providing all-through support to a child with ASD in a Key Stage 1 class.

In this role as an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will be paid £85 per day during term time in a Monday to Friday role beginning ASAP and ending in July 2023. Working hours are from 08.30am – 15.00pm, and you will also have the opportunity to study a free subject enhancement knowledge course on topics such as Mental Health, Safeguarding and Managing Challenging Behaviour.

SEN Teaching Assistant – Applicant Requirements:

• Minimum 2:1 Psychology, Neuroscience or Education based degree
• Strong academic background
• Prior experience working with young people
• Naturally warm and supportive personality
• Good organisation & communication skills
• Dedicated to the progression of young children
• Interested in a career based within education
