Special Needs Teaching Assistant– The role

  • You will be working with children with SEN both 1:1 and within lesson time
  • You will support the school’s SENDCO in the SEN base
  • A lot of the time, you will be helping support and observing class teachers. As a result, you will gain hands-on classroom experience

  • Your main role will be to create an inclusive and safe environment for children with SEN so as to support their emotional well-being


Special Needs Teaching Assistant– What you will need

  • You will have obtained a 1st or 2:1 degree qualification
  • You should have had previous experience with SEN children so you can hit the ground running
