This fantastic all-girls 11-18 secondary school are looking to appoint a dedicated and committed School Librarian for January 2022.

Job Description

• January start date
• 36 hours per week (Term time only, 39 weeks)
• £27,312 – £30,396 per annum
• Manage and develop the library environment and resources
• Stock maintenance
• Deliver CPD training to staff on library and literacy topics
• Be responsible for annual library faculty plan
• Manage the school’s library budget
• Run extra-curricular clubs for students
• Act as a support network for pupils

Person Specification

• 2:1 or above in English Literature/Language (preferred)
• Excellent academic background
• Chartered Librarian qualification or library experience
• Knowledge of children’s literature and passion for learning
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to support and relate well to students
• Knowledge of ICT systems and/or willingness to learn
• Creative thinker
• Behaviour management skills
