i-teachers are currently working with an excellent secondary academy based in the Chesterfield area who are eager to find a committed, outgoing and naturally engaging Graduate Teaching & Learning Assistant to provide vital 1:1 & small group support to students with behavioural needs in a KS3 & KS4 class for remainder of the academic year whilst conducting lessons alongside the class teacher.

Graduate Teaching & Learning Assistant – Role Information:

• Graduate Teaching & Learning Assistant
• Located in Chesterfield (S41)
• Based in alternative provision academy for remainder of academic year
• Beginning ASAP – Usual school working hours
• Paid £450 per week during term time before tax
• Multiple online free CPD courses available – SEN, Mental Health & Safeguarding
• Planning and conducting lessons for students in KS3 & KS4 with SEMH needs
• Creating tailored intervention sessions based inside and out of the classroom.

Graduate Teaching & Learning Assistant – Applicant Requirements:

• Minimum 2:1 Core Subject, Humanities or STEM subject degree
• Strong academic background
• Prior experience working with children or adolescents
• Good organisation and communication skills
• Naturally outgoing and supportive individual
• Ability to build immediate rapport with children
