Meet the Team – Jack’s Story

All

This week we are continuing with our series showcasing our amazing i-teachers’ consultants and their stories! Our i-teachers family are passionate about making a difference within education and all have their own fantastic journey to share!

Meet Jack! Jack joined the i-teachers team in 2018 as a Compliance and Sales Trainee for his University placement. Since then, Jack has remained at i-teachers whilst studying for his Masters and is looking forward to embarking on his consultant journey after graduation! Outside of work he is a massive Manchester United fan and loves to play football a few times a week.

Firstly, tell us a bit about your history and your University experience!

“I decided to go to university immediately after finishing my A-Levels to study Sports Marketing Management at Manchester Met, with my initial desire to complete my degree and then move onto something related to marketing within football! However, after completing my placement year at i-teachers and gaining amazing experience through being surrounded by an outgoing and supportive team and learning more about the role we play within education, I immediately wanted to become involved in recruitment specifically within the education sector. I’m currently studying an MSc in Digital Marketing Communications at Manchester Metropolitan University, before starting as an Education Consultant with i-teachers in September!”.

What drove you into a career in recruitment?

“Before completing my placement with i-teachers I had little understanding as to what the recruitment industries aims were and lacked real know-how on the importance of i-teachers in making sure that primary/secondary pupils and students across the UK received superb academic, social and emotional support throughout their school life. Through spending the last three years with i-teachers in both full time and part time roles, I’ve been able to see first-hand how instrumental i-teachers have been in giving talented graduates opportunities to fulfil their potential in teaching positions, as well as offering schools the best possible opportunities to find the teachers/teaching assistants they’re looking for”.

What do you enjoy most about working at i-teachers?

“At i-teachers there is a real family feel and a togetherness when both in and outside the office, with everyone being as supportive as possible to help reach their goals and surpass the expectations set of them. The office is a fantastic environment with excellent resources to support everyone in their day to day working life, based in the centre of Manchester which is always an added bonus! I love being able to know that I have the ability to change someone’s school experience through giving schools an exceptional teacher/teaching assistant!”.
