Our Visit to St Cross Church – Clayton!

All

At i-teachers we are passionate about helping our local community. We feel a responsibility to contribute to the challenges our society faces.

It is well known that over the summer holidays, many children do not benefit from free school meals.

‘Holiday hunger’ has been a growing issue in recent years, where families rely on local foodbanks to feed their children over the 6 week summer period. According to a recent report by MPs, a staggering 3 million children will go hungry this summer.

Last week i-teachers and the team pitched together and raised a huge £175, which we used to buy food for a local food bank. St Cross Church in Clayton caters exclusively for families of three schools in Manchester who nominate families in crisis.

We are proud that we could donate items which will help our community this summer.

A fantastic organisation that deserves every bit of praise and acknowledgement it gets for the work it does, and we were delighted that we could make a valuable contribution to such a worthy cause!

St Cross Church is located at 611 Ashton New Road, Manchester, M11 4UA. If you live locally or are passing by, you can donate by dropping in. The families collect the food every Friday!
