Have you had previous experience working in a lab setting / working as a Science Technician?

As a Graduate Science Technician your responsibilities will include; the preparation of workshop apparatus/equipment and materials as required, advising and assisting in the preparation of practical’s and controlled assessments, maintenance and cleaning of equipment after use. The successful candidate will also have the opportunity to supervise and assist students during lessons, working with the class teacher to develop and deliver lessons.

This lovely school are looking for a Graduate Science Technician who has a firm grasp on their degree subject and is ambitious. Attention to detail and Health & Safety are paramount. Ideally you will have had some experience of tutoring / working with young people and you are looking for essential experience ahead of your pedagogical training. Historically, successful Graduate Science Technicians / Teaching Assistants of other subjects have been offered Schools Direct opportunities allowing them to embark on a successful career in teaching.
