Primary SEN Learning Assistant Role – Greenwich

As a SEND Teaching Assistant, you will need to be a compassionate, energetic, resilient and adaptable individual with a genuine passion for SEN education / support. Ideally, you will be looking to carve out a career as a SEN Teacher, as an Educational Psychologist or in Social Work. Your supportive role will see you gaining experience developing bespoke learning plans for individual pupils, working with small groups of 4-6 students at a time on project based learning as well as learning through play.

You will be working with children who may have behavioural, emotional and mental health issues as well as having special educational needs. In your role you will assist with the implementation of Individual Learning Plans (ILPs) and liaise with parents and teachers to ensure the best possible outcomes for students.

Strong communication, self-motivation and resilience is key to this role! You must have a degree with a good academic background. It would be ideal if you have had some experience working with young people, either in a tutoring or coaching capacity.

This role is extremely rewarding as well as providing the essential experience required to ensure a competitive application to become qualified in the field of Educational Psychology, Teaching or Social Work.
